Finishing Tips and Techniques




Finishing tips will help you achieve that professional look. The time and effort put in finishing your stained glass piece has a dramatic effect on the professionalism of your work. This step is often rushed or hastily done resulting in white mold along solder seams and/or cloudy appearance of glass.

    White crusty areas appear after finishing?

  • Use baking soda with water then rinse and re-apply finishing compound
  • How to make stained glass piece shine?

  • Use finishing compound followed by Simichrome polish.
  • How often do I need to clean my stained glass work?

  • Depending on location of stained glass, it's a good idea to clean your stained glass yearly. Clean with a damp cloth or finishing compound. Do not use commercial window cleaner
