Tips for Using Grinders

Over spray when grinding glass?
  • Use a back drop or splash guard around grinders.

Build up of glass around head?
  • Check for proper water and coolant level. Check to make sure the sponge is contacting the bit.

How to prevent bit from seizing on shaft?
  • Use water soluble lubricant each time you remove or change the bit. Remove bit when not in use.

Bit frozen on the shaft?
  • Bits frozen on the shaft can be removed by using a plumber's faucet puller.

How to extend the life of bits?
  • Add coolant to the water. This will speed up grinding action and adds 50% to head.

Looking for easy way to clean up?
  • Line the bottom and sides of the water reserve with one piece of tinfoil. Cut one hole to fit over head assembly. The weight of the water will hold the foil in place. When it is time to clean, siphon out the water, then just fold up the tinfoil with all the glass residue and throw it away.
