Work Area Surfaces

Glass breaks when cutting?
  • Keep your work area surface free from glass burrs and cutting debris.

  • Surface is not level, any valleys or ridges in cutting surface can cause unexpected breaks.

  • Surface may not be properly supported which allows for flexing when pressure is applied.

  • Applying too much pressure can result in bad breaks.

Getting cut when cleaning work surface?
  • Keep a bench brush handy at all times, don't use your hands.

Not sure what type of surface to cut on?
  • Use a sturdy table or bench that is flat and level.

  • Cover cutting area with heavy vinyl fabric., this provides cushioning which protects your cutter wheel.

  • Use Morton grid surface.
